Ralph Lauren's Efforts to Eliminate Breast Cancer.
Ralph Lauren partners with Royal Masten, Europe's largest cancer center in the UK, to build a premier breast cancer research facility. This is an extension of various efforts that have been going on for over 20 years to combat cancer. It allows us to imagine how much a single fashion designer is doing to the world, including Europe.
In 2000, models wearing pink pony shirts appeared in the Ralph Lauren catwalk. It was the first step in expressing Ralph Lauren's determination to actively participate in fighting cancer after Nina Hyde, a close friend and fashion editor at the Washington Post, died of breast cancer. He founded the Nina Hyde Center for Breast Cancer Research at Georgetown University to celebrate the death of his friend. He designed a campaign t-shirt for the breast cancer awareness campaign "Fashion Target Breast Cancer (FTBC)" organized by the American Fashion Design Association. We put a lot of effort into the fighting.

Established with focus on breast cancer, the Pink Pony Fund supports programs such as cancer screening, early diagnosis, treatment, research and patient management, and provides early diagnosis and treatment opportunities to communities where health care is not enough. Helps make treatment possible. The campaign, launched in 1994, funds more than $ 40 million and is helping breast cancer charities in 13 countries. Korea is also participating in this campaign, which will donate 25% of the total sales of Pink Pony products to the Korea Breast Health Foundation. Especially, this year, we are giving a lot of enthusiasm to this campaign to donate half of the sales of 'Soft Ricky' bags, specially produced in bright pink.

"Winning the fight against breast cancer was one of my long-standing goals. We are delighted to partner with Royal Masten, which publishes innovative research on cancer treatment. I hope this cooperation will bring good treatment results to breast cancer patients around the world. "Ralph Lauren, the brand's head, said in a memorial to her encounter with Royal Masten. The Center is conducting research to identify molecular differences between tumors for optimized treatment for individual patients. Identifying these differences can reduce unnecessary toxicity, as well as cancer recurrence and mortality.

Royal Masten, which has been supported by the Pink Pony Foundation for many years, will continue its strong partnership with Ralph Lauren through a new partnership. "We hope that the sponsorship of Ralph Lauren will greatly contribute to the development of pioneering breast cancer research," said Cally Palmer, CEO of Royal Masten. This will change the existing clinical practice and will greatly contribute to raising the overall knowledge of cancer. " Royal Masten, a new charity partner with Ralph Lauren, was founded in Westminster in 1851 as a specialist hospital focused on cancer diagnosis, treatment, research and education. The largest cancer center in Europe, it partners with the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) to treat more than 50,000 patients annually and boasts a worldwide reputation for cancer treatment and technology.
With the ICR, Royal Masten, which is the sole national institution for cancer-related health research biomedical research centers, received over € 62 million in research grants over five years. In addition, the philanthropic hospital, the Royal Masten Cancer charity, is making a great effort to combat cancer through its basic philosophy of "a brighter future that has completely overcome cancer." One of these is the fundraising campaign to sponsor the Royal Masten Hospital. The fund raises not only the world's highest level of diagnosis, treatment and management for cancer patients, but also to support cancer research projects in hospitals. Since 2004, more than 100 million euros have been raised to establish additional diagnostic centers and drug development departments. In 2007, King William of the United Kingdom became a representative of the Royal Masten Cancer charity and has maintained a close relationship with the royal family.

Royal Masten focuses on clinical research as well as providing a range of diagnostic tests and treatments for breast cancer patients. Professor Mitch Dowsett, director of molecular biology at the Center for Molecular Pathology, is working on a new field of genetic testing that can effectively harvest any therapy. Professor Dawsey's research program, sponsored by Ralph Lauren, has significant implications for specialized breast cancer management. Molecular predictors that predict the long-term outcome of specific patient groups, molecular markers that can detect early therapeutic resistance factors, and clinical genetic sequences that compare tumor biology and DNA. This change in existing clinical practice can lead to the development of cutting-edge treatments for women who are at risk for developing breast cancer.
