    But usually Lampung people use river fish, such as Baung fish, Layis, belide, and others. And served with fresh vegetables. At a glance there is nothing special about this one typical Lampung cuisine. But until now the series is still used as the main menu that is presented when gathered, especially for the Lampung tribe Pepadun.

    1. The whistle is usually eaten in a roll
     
    Since ancient times, Lampung people love to gather with family, relatives, relatives and neighbors. Whether it's at a traditional event, a religious event, or a wedding. And when they gather, they usually eat food together.

    This tradition is called Nyeruit, and the food they eat is Seruit. Although the times are modern, but this gathering activity is still carried out for generations until now. And is a means to maintain friendship.

    2. Fish is the main ingredient in Seruit dishes
     
    This typical Lampung cuisine has basic ingredients of fish, and usually the fish served in Seruit is processed by frying or burning. Furthermore, the fish will be eaten with chili paste and sambal tempoyak (processed durian) or mango sauce
    Lampung people also often add fresh vegetables and petai, as a complement to the Seruit dish. A blend of flavors from shrimp paste sauce and sambal tempoyak or mango sambal, gives a spicy, sour and sweet taste that adds to the pleasure when eating Seruit.
    This food looks very simple indeed, and the manufacturing process is not complicated. Before being fried, the fish will be smeared first with garlic, salt, coriander, turmeric, and ginger that has been mashed. After the seasoning is absorbed, then the fish is fried.

    If the fish is burnt, when it is half cooked the fish will be smeared with soy sauce and the mashed mixture. then burned again until cooked. Then the fish that has been burned or fried, will be served together with a plate of warm rice, and various kinds of vegetables that are stirred together with chili sauce.

    3. The regular whistle is eaten with chili sauce
     
    To add to the enjoyment of Seruit dishes, Lampung people eat Seruit with sambal. So this food has a spicy taste. Sambal used is usually chili paste and sambal tempoyak. To make chili paste, chili, salt, flavoring, rampai and shrimp paste are needed.

    As for making sambal tempoyak, it takes mature durian meat, separate it from the seeds and give a little salt. Then add cayenne pepper and store it in a tightly closed container for several days. In addition to the sambal above, there are also Lampung people who eat Seruit with mango sauce.

    4. The sherbet is always served after eating Seruit
     
    After eating a spicy Seruit, the people of Lampung used to drink Serbat Kweni. This typical Lampung drink is made from Kweni mango which is thinly shaved, then given sugar water, sweetened condensed milk and ice cubes. It feels really fresh, and can repel the spicy taste after eating Seruit.
